For School Visits:

2023-24 Prices

  • On site workshops: £5.00 per pupil (minimum charge of £50 per group)
  • Off site and virtual workshops: £60 per class
  • Loan boxes: £40 for one week or £50 for two weeks.

Adult staff, helpers, and carers are not charged for.

Group size and ratios

The maximum number of students that can be accommodated at any one time is 30 (or one class). If you would like to visit with multiple classes, please contact us to discuss arrangements.

All groups must be accompanied by responsible adults. We recommend the following ratios:

  • Key Stage 1&2 – 1 adult to 6 children
  • Key Stage 3 and above – 1 adult to 15 children

    Getting to Us

    Coaches may drop off/pick up the group in Huntingdon Bus Station, less than 2 minutes’ walk from the Museum and Town Hall. The nearest car park is behind the Museum on St Germain Street (pay and display). The Museum is about 10 minutes’ walk from Huntingdon Railway Station, which is on the East Coast line with regular trains from King’s Cross and Peterborough.

    Other Facilities

    Toilets (including accessible toilets) are available in the Town Hall, opposite the Museum on a pedestrianised street. Secure bag storage and lunchroom facilities are also available in the Town Hall.

    How to Book

    Contact us to discuss your requirements and potential dates for your visit by emailing learning@cromwellmuseum.com or calling 01480 702216 during office hours. You'll then be asked to complete and return a booking form to confirm your visit.


    For Guided Tours

    2023-24 Prices

    • £6 per adult, £5 for seniors, students, under-16s (minimum charge of £50 per group; £70 out of hours)
    • £10 per adult for all three tour components 

    Cancellations and Delays

    A cancellation charge of 50% of the cost of the guided tour is charged if cancelled less than 14 days before the tour; the full cost of the tour is payable if cancelled less than 7 days before the tour. Please phone the Museum on (01480) 708008 if you are delayed; guides will usually wait up to 30 minutes. If this period is exceeded without contact from the organiser to inform us as to the delay, the tour may be cancelled, a cancellation fee charged or the tour shortened at the guide’s discretion.

There are many cafes, restaurants, pubs and hotels in the immediate area of the Museum for refreshments – please contact us for more details.
