In 1660 Charles II was restored as monarch, pledging forgiveness for his former enemies – except those who were involved with the trial and execution of his father. That autumn many of these ‘regicides’ were brought to trial, with the threat of a gruesome fate if convicted…

Using original trial records, we are recreating these events so you can experience these events in an immersive experience – other than a narrator, YOU will be part of the audience to events in 1660 in the atmospheric surroundings of an historic courtroom.

Performances take place at 1pm, 3.30pm and 6.30pm on Saturday 7 February; 10am, 12.30pm and 3pm on Sunday 8 February 2026.

Booking essential. Not suitable for children under 10. Performances last 90 minutes.
