Oliver Cromwell was born in Huntingdon on 25 April 1599, 425 years ago this year. He the lived in the town for over half his life.

What was Huntingdon like at the time Cromwell was a resident here? The exhibit explores what the town was like at the time, the politics and royal visits during this period, as well as Cromwell's early life. The exhibit includes rarely seen items from the Museum's collections and county archives, including the 1630 Charter for the town - disagreements over which led to Cromwell moving from Huntingdon.

The exhibit runs from Saturday 4 May until Sunday 29 September during normal museum opening hours, and is free of charge to visitors.
