The opening event of the 2023 Huntingdonshire History Festival celebrates the Roman heritage of the area with a re-enactment event taking place on Castle Hills Park in Huntingdon.

Right next to where Ermine Street, the main Roman road from London to York crossed the river, and across from the Roman town of Godmanchester visit our living history encampment. Roman soldiers, civilians and craftspeople will be staging living history displays both days 11am – 4pm, whilst there will be timed arena displays by Roman soldiers and even combat between Gladiators!
