August 1645: Despite a huge defeat at Naseby, Huntingdon was taken by a Royalist Army with King Charles I present. Huntingdon hero and "local boy" MP Oliver Cromwell had headed west with the Army of Parliament to engage the Kings forces around Bristol.

Did he make a mistake? Why did forsake his own? Was Huntingdon ransacked, and were our churches destroyed? This talk looks at Huntingdon as a study of issues and stories during the during the Civil War, and asks if it was a major player or an irrelevant little market town.
